Last night I got paid $2,000 to tattoo this trust fund kid’s back. Easy money, so I took it, but the whole time I’m working I’m just looking at what he chose.

It’s this massive tree going across his entire back. Like yeah, the work itself came out clean, but I couldn’t stop thinking who actually decides to put something like that permanently on their body.
I’m sitting there finishing it up knowing this isn’t something small he can hide. This is his whole back, there’s no going back from that.
All I could think about was if his parents saw what he just spent their money on, they’d probably lose it. Not even because of the money, just because of what he chose to do with it.
At that point, it just felt like one of those decisions that’s going to hit him later, and by then it’s already too late to change anything.
