DIY Giant Lucky Gold Coin Garland
Materials
40 flat metal mason jar lids
Gold spray paint (suitable for metal)
Thick green burlap ribbon (approximately 10 feet long)
Scissors
Glue gun (optional, for securing lids in place)
Directions
Begin by laying out the mason jar lids on a protective surface in a well-ventilated area.
Spray paint each lid with the gold paint, ensuring even coverage. Allow them to dry completely.
Once dry, lay the green burlap ribbon flat and begin threading each lid through the ribbon. Space the lids evenly along the ribbon.
If desired, use a glue gun to secure the lids in place to prevent sliding.
Trim the ends of the ribbon to your desired length and tie a knot at each end for hanging.
Variations & Tips
For a festive twist, try using lids of different sizes or mixing in some silver-painted lids alongside the gold. You can also experiment with different ribbon colors, such as red for a holiday theme or pastel hues for a springtime look. For added texture, consider incorporating small decorative elements like faux leaves or beads between the lids.
