She walks up to the table in a tight black shirt and bright orange athletic shorts, standing there like it’s completely normal while my kids are literally sitting across from her trying to order food. Not tucked away,

not subtle, just right there in the middle of a packed restaurant like this is part of the uniform now. And yeah, everyone at the table noticed, because it’s hard not to when she’s leaning in with the tablet like that’s appropriate for a family spot.
I didn’t sit there quietly either. I told her straight up this isn’t a gym and she needs to dress like she’s at work, not showing up like she just came from a workout. She got offended, manager came over, and somehow I’m the problem for saying what everyone else is clearly thinking but too scared to say out loud.
I’m not apologizing for expecting basic standards when I’m paying to eat somewhere with my kids. If that makes me “out of line,” then maybe the problem isn’t me, it’s how low the bar has dropped.
